1. Introduction

This page contains the Terms & Conditions that govern your choice of Ocean Recovery’s services. By accessing or using any of these services, you agree to be bound by the relevant terms. Please carefully read each section below to read the complete terms that apply to your context.

2. Definitions

2.1 The following terms shall have the meanings set out below whenever they are used in these Terms & Conditions:

2.1.1 “We/Our/Us”: refers to Ocean Recovery, which is operated by Step One Recovery, a company dedicated to providing treatment at alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres across the UK.

2.1.2 “Client”: refers to the individual who has chosen to receive treatment or services from Ocean Recovery.

2.1.3 “Services”: refers to all treatment programmes, therapies, aftercare, support, and related facilities provided by Ocean Recovery, whether residential, outpatient, or online.

2.1.4 “Agreement”: refers to the legally binding contract formed between the Client and Ocean Recovery upon acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2.1.5 “Website”: refers to the official Ocean Recovery website located at www.oceanrecoverycentre.com, including all subdomains and online resources.

2.1.6 “Treatment Plan”: refers to the individualised programme of care, therapy, or rehabilitation agreed between the Client and Ocean Recovery’s clinical team.

2.1.7 “Fees”: refers to the total cost payable by the Client (or on the Client’s behalf) for Services provided under this Agreement, as communicated prior to admission or commencement of treatment.

2.1.8 “Confidential Information”: means all personal, medical, and health-related information relating to the Client, as well as any business or operational information relating to Ocean Recovery, which is not in the public domain.

3. Scope of Services

3.1 Ocean Recovery provides a variety of evidence-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, including detoxification and rehabilitation treatment programmes:

  • Detoxification (Detox) — the medically supervised removal of harmful substances from the body, supported by 24/7 clinical care.
  • Rehabilitation (Rehab) — personalised therapy and counselling programmes aimed at addressing the physical, psychological, and behavioural aspects of addiction.

3.2 All Services are customised to the individual’s needs and circumstances, recognising that addiction and recovery are highly personal.

3.3 Ocean Recovery is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered residential rehabilitation centrelocated in the North West of the UK at Blackpool, Lancashire. The facility offers a peaceful, seaside setting and accommodates up to 13 clients in ensuite rooms, combining luxury with clinical effectiveness.

3.4 The Services also include a free 12-month aftercare support package following completion of the primary 28-day treatment programme. This includes follow-up support, therapy sessions, relapse-prevention planning, and access to group sessions via Zoom.

3.5 Clients engage with Ocean Recovery upon completing a pre-admission assessment, following which a Treatment Plan is agreed upon between the Client and Ocean Recovery’s clinical team.

4. Client Obligation

4.1 Honesty & Disclosure

Clients need to provide accurate and complete information, for example, medical history, addiction behaviours or any concerns about the current drug during the pre-admission assessment. Failure to disclose relevant details may compromise the effectiveness and safety of treatment.

4.2 Substance-Free Policy

Clients are not permitted to possess, consume, or distribute alcohol, illegal drugs, or non-prescribed medications during treatment. Breaches of this policy will result in disciplinary action and may lead to termination of the Agreement.

4.3 Smoking & Vaping

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Clients must comply with facility guidelines regarding tobacco and nicotine use.(FAQ reference)

4.4 Health & Safety Compliance

Clients must comply with all health and safety instructions issued by staff, including fire evacuation procedures, emergency protocols, and infection-control measures.

5. Amendments

5.1 Ocean Recovery reserves the right to update, amend, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time.

5.2 Any such changes will take effect immediately upon being published on the Ocean Recovery website or otherwise communicated to Clients.

5.3 Clients are responsible for reviewing the Terms & Conditions periodically to ensure they are aware of the most current version. Continued use of our Services after any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

6.1 These Terms & Conditions, and any Agreement formed under them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

6.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions, the Agreement, or the Services provided by Ocean Recovery.
