Why Choose Residential Rehab?

One of the main advantages of residential rehab is that you are within a supportive therapeutic environment where you are kept away from substance abuse. Within our therapeutic environment, we focus on sober living and getting back to enjoying life outside of drugs and alcohol, whilst encouraging healing from the trauma that often comes with addiction.

The benefit of residential rehab is that relapse rates are significantly lower, which is at a heightened risk of occurring during the detox stage. It’s often a relief for many people to be away from negative influences and spend time focusing on their treatment with our addiction counsellors and other residents within a space that promotes recovery.

Residential rehab offers significant advantages for those serious about recovery. By stepping away from daily triggers and negative influences, you can focus entirely on healing in a structured environment.

Benefits of Residential Rehab:

  • Lower relapse rates, particularly during detox.
  • Immediate access to medical and emotional support.
  • A therapeutic community of peers and professionals.

At Ocean Recovery, our 28-day residential programmes provide intensive care and a tailored approach to recovery. Our centre combines traditional therapies with holistic treatments in a peaceful and private setting.

With good road and rail links (including the M56 motorway and Runcorn railway station), travel to our centre is very straightforward. For loved ones visiting during family sessions, this convenience can make a real difference in maintaining connection throughout the recovery process.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Sometimes, the trauma of addiction can lead us to develop a mental health disorder, such as depression or anxiety. Other times, patients have struggled with mental health issues for some time, driving them to develop a dependency.

We are one of the UK’s leading treatment centres for patients with dual diagnoses. What this means is that you will be in the safest hands when faced with recovery from both addiction and a mental health condition.

Our team has extensive experience providing the highest level of care in these cases, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to treat both conditions simultaneously.

Aftercare Support

We don’t see your completion of your stay with us as the end, but rather a new beginning. As you leave our rehab centre, you step into a life where the skills and insights you’ve gained here will be your strength whilst transitioning back into normality.

Secondary treatment is sometimes known as aftercare. During the 12 months after you complete rehab, you’re most at risk of a relapse, which means it’s important to have a great support network in place.

That’s why we provide 12 months of free aftercare, ensuring that your transition back to life in Runcorn is supported and sustainable.

Our aftercare includes:

  • Weekly therapy or group sessions (in person or virtual).
  • Ongoing relapse prevention strategies.
  • Access to local support networks like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous in Runcorn and Halton.
  • Continuous access to guidance and mental health support resources.

Free Support Line

Understanding that immediate support may sometimes be needed, we also offer a free 24/7 support line on 0800 880 7596. You can call this helpline any time to talk to a trained professional who can provide immediate advice and emotional support. This can be invaluable when you’re facing a crisis and need urgent guidance on what steps to take.

Feel free to contact us today for more information on our comprehensive range of services designed to support both individuals struggling with addiction and their loved ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right rehab treatment provider can be a life-changing decision; here are some of the most common questions we are asked pre-admission.

How do i get a family member committed to the idea of rehab?

There are many ways family and friends can convince a loved one to seek addiction treatment. One of the most effective options is through the use of an intervention.

An intervention would involve a member of our team speaking to concerned family members about the best steps to get their loved one to agree to enter rehab.

Our team can hold a meeting involving family members and the addict to discuss all concerns and advise whether rehab is needed. This is often the most effective way to get a family member to commit to rehab.

How soon can I be admitted from Runcorn?

We understand the urgency of getting help. In most cases, Runcorn residents can be admitted within 24 hours, depending on assessment and availability.

Is rehab confidential for people in Runcorn?

Yes, all treatment is strictly confidential, and our centre is discreetly located to protect your privacy.

What addictions do you treat near Runcorn?

We treat a wide range of dependencies, including alcohol, cocaine, heroin, cannabis, and prescription drugs, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions.

Do you offer aftercare for Runcorn residents?

Yes. Everyone who completes a programme at our clinic will receive 12 months of free aftercare, with ongoing support groups and relapse prevention available locally or online.

How long does rehab last in Runcorn?

This will largely depend on what’s been recommended to you by our addiction specialists during the admissions stage. However, we generally recommend that individuals seek residential treatment at our drug and alcohol rehab in Runcorn for a minimum of 28 days.

A 28-day stay at Ocean Recovery will include a comprehensive detox and a fully personalised treatment plan, which will involve participating in a range of evidence-based therapy programmes. Once your stay with us comes to an end, you will also be given a free aftercare package, which will last for a year.

The minimum length of stay available at our Runcorn clinic is 10 days, which will cover intensive detox treatment, with 14 to 21-day programme lengths also available. Longer durations are also a possibility with us, depending on your unique needs and requirements.
