Addiction Treatment Options in Southport

People in Southport seeking help for drug or alcohol addiction have access to both NHS and private treatment options.

NHS Services

NHS and council-funded services close by, such as Change Grow Live Sefton and We Are With You, offer free counselling, harm-reduction support, and outpatient treatment programmes. While these can be effective, access to detox and residential care can involve waiting lists and limited one-to-one time.

Private rehabilitation at Ocean Recovery is the closest clinic, providing immediate admission, 24-hour medical supervision, and bespoke care plans in a dedicated residential environment.

This structured, distraction-free setting is proven to enhance long-term recovery outcomes by giving you the time and space to focus solely on yourself and your health.

Starting Private Addiction Therapy in Southport

Reaching out for help is often the hardest step, but our admissions process is quick, supportive, and completely confidential.

Step 1: Free Assessment

When you call, our admissions team will carry out a short assessment to understand your addiction history, physical health, and personal circumstances.

If you decide to proceed, we can usually arrange admission within as little as 24 to 48 hours, including free transport from Southport if required. We can also offer same-day admissions.

Step 3: Medical Detox

Detoxification is the first stage of recovery. Under medical supervision, you’ll safely withdraw from alcohol or drugs using prescribed medication (where appropriate) to minimise discomfort. Our nurses and doctors are on hand 24 hours a day to ensure your safety and well-being.

Step 4: Therapy and Rehabilitation

  • Family therapy to rebuild trust and support systems

As treatment progresses, we’ll work with you to develop a comprehensive relapse-prevention plan, equipping you with the strategies and mindset to maintain your recovery once you return home to Southport.
