What is the admissions process at our Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation like?
Firstly, we want to reassure you that we understand how difficult it can be to acknowledge your addiction. Try to remember that our team are professionals who have been dealing with similar cases to yours for years. We’re on hand to help and advise 24/7, turning what could have been a daunting experience into a rewarding one. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you can, there are no silly questions.
Our admissions process is quick and easy. After you’ve made your initial enquiry with us either over the phone, email or via our website, you’ll be given an admissions supervisor who will guide you every step of the way.
We will then complete your pre-admission screening which helps us to understand your addiction to alcohol or drugs more. It’s important that we get to know you as much as we can at this stage so that we’re better equipped to design the best treatment programme for you. Your admissions supervisor will go through a free pre-admission screening questionnaire which involves answering basic questions about your physical and psychological health, in addition to letting us know a bit more about your home life and level of substance abuse.
Rest assured this process is completely confidential and only normally takes around 20 minutes of your time. If you would prefer to speak with us in person, we’d be happy to arrange this. Once we’ve determined the best course of action for your treatment programme, we can arrange a suitable date for you to join our rehab in Dartford.
The first day at our rehab centre may feel intimidating, but just remember the rewards that you’ll benefit from during your stay with us. You’ll be welcomed in by a member of our specialised recovery team who will take you on your induction.
We ask that you complete a treatment contract in addition to other legal documents that help with your care, health and safety and also to prepare you for your first assessment. You can then take some time to settle into your room and familiarise yourself with your surroundings.
Do we offer Detoxification?
The best approach to recovering from drug or alcohol addiction is through a personalised treatment programme, however, a common factor throughout most addiction plans is a visit to our detox clinic. This detoxification will flush all of the toxins out of your system, aiding with the effectiveness of your subsequent therapies.
With detoxification comes withdrawal symptoms which can range from mild nausea all the way to life-changing, irreversible effects. Your safety will always be our top priority, our dedicated team supervise your detoxification around the clock to ensure it’s effective and that your withdrawal is as comfortable as it can be.
It’s extremely difficult to detox without the help of professionals, we strongly advise against it. It’s also very dangerous to attempt a detox without any professional support, it’s imperative that this process is overseen by a team of experts to ensure your safety throughout. Although detoxing is a pretty unpleasant experience, we wouldn’t recommend it unless it was an essential aspect of your recovery journey.
Follow our comprehensive Aftercare plan
We include a free 12-month aftercare plan for all of our clients. Everything you’ve learnt throughout your stay with us is geared towards preparing you for your return home and equipping you with the tools needed to avoid drug or alcohol relapse.
