As your loved one progresses through their detoxification, harmful toxins will be removed from their system.  This can cause withdrawal symptoms to arise.  However, this is entirely normal.

 

Rehabilitation Treatment

Upon completing detoxification, your loved one will commence the rehabilitation stage of their treatment programme.

Rehabilitation mainly focuses on enabling individuals to address their addictions, focusing on the psychological impact that drug and alcohol addictions have had on them and overcoming these.

Various factors will be considered upon determining the therapy that your loved one will undergo.  However, therapy often includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Stress Management, Relapse Prevention and well-being therapy.

Therapy will be conducted on a one-to-one basis. However, group therapy is also encouraged.  This will provide your loved one with the ability to listen to other people’s stories and gauge how treatment has helped them overcome their addiction.

If necessary, throughout rehabilitation, family intervention and mediation therapy will also be provided.  After all, addictions do not just consume the lives of the individual suffering.

They can also have adverse consequences on families.

Our family intervention and mediation therapy will provide your family with the opportunity to listen to how your loved one’s addiction has impaired their life.

It additionally offers a safe space to repair any broken relationships.

 

What Happens After My Loved One Has Completed Treatment at A Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Hastings?

How Long Will My Loved One Need to Spend in Rehab?

Determining how long your loved one will need to spend in rehab is somewhat difficult without understanding the severity of their addiction and the treatment they require.

While we understand the sentiment behind this question, you should be open-minded about the length of time they will need to attend a residential drug and alcohol rehab for.

Furthermore, even if we can determine a suitable length of treatment, your loved one’s progress will be under constant review.

If your loved one is not making progress at the rate that was initially anticipated, they will be required to stay in our facility for longer.

Likewise, if your loved one shows signs of overcoming their addiction early on, they may not need to undergo treatment for as long as we initially believed.
