Do you or a loved one suffer from an addiction to ‘opiate’ drugs such as methadone, painkillers or heroin? Have you heard about harsh withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid detoxification? Or perhaps you attempted to ‘get clean’ in the past, only to discover the pain involved. We can help!
A New Way To Detox
What if I told you there was another way to detox involving virtually no pain at all? A way where you simply go to sleep. Almost like magic once you awake you are opiate free. With zero withdrawal symptoms!
It Began Back in The 1980s
Ocean Recovery offers what is known as a rapid opiate detoxification programme. Patients undergo detox under the influence of a professionally administered aesthetic. This form of detox is based on rapid opioid detoxification (ROD) developed during the 1980s.
How Rapid Opiate Detox Works
Opiate receptor antagonists such as Naltrexone are orally consumed by clients under anaesthesia. Naltrexone binds with the brain’s opiate receptors, thus blocking opiates’ effect on the brain. Naltrexone completely reduces cravings for opioids. When clients awaken detoxification is complete. Withdrawal symptoms ‘act out’ whilst clients sleep. The client’s system is entirely cleared of opiates. Patients effectively ‘skip’ otherwise painful withdrawal symptoms and reach the coveted detoxification goal virtually unscathed.
Once clients return to consciousness a number of secondary withdrawal symptoms are experienced such as insomnia and muscle pain. The entire procedure takes place in our residential rehabilitation clinic in Blackpool.
Patients receive round the clock medical attention for the entire programme. Once detoxification concluded clients take up therapy and counselling sessions. These sessions treat the mental aspect of opiate addiction. Patients receive a full aftercare service once rehabilitation concludes.
