Addictions We Treat
At Ocean Recovery Centre, we treat many different addictions. This includes treating people experiencing alcohol, drug, prescription medication and behavioural addictions. We employ a range of medical experts to assist you through the initial detox portion of your recovery. We also employ therapists and counsellors to help treat the mental aspect of substance misuse and behavioural addictions.
Treatment Goals
The overall aim of treatment is to assist you in achieving your recovery goals. The treatment aims to help you achieve overall abstinence. This will allow you to go on and live a happy and fulfilling life. All you must do is show a willingness to change. You must also harness your appetite for learning about recovery. Many of our counsellors are themselves recovering addicts. This allows lots of scope for social learning to take place. During your rehabilitation programme, you will be truly inspired by the sheer number of success stories you will be exposed to throughout this time.
The Motivation To Change
During your rehab, you will be exposed to secrets that allow you to remain in recovery for many years to come. Whilst many of our treatments are highly effective, it’s also true to say there exists no magical combination of therapies that will cure your addiction. Moreover, all therapy will fail if you are not willing to change your addictive ways. For instance, before you even think about contacting Ocean Recovery Centre, you must be fully committed to the idea that you are never able to return to drink or drugs for the remainder of your life. If you are committed to your recovery and living according to the principles of abstinence, contact Ocean Recovery Centre today on 01253 847 553.

The Initial Assessment Process
Before you are admitted to rehab, we will walk you through a quick telephone assessment. During this assessment, we determine inportant facts about you, your health, your addiction and your motivation to succeed in recovery.
Specifically, during this assessment we will attempt to discover:
- The specific drug you are addicted to
- The quantity of this drug you consume on a daily basis
- How long you have consumed the drug in question for in terms of weeks/months/days
- Information regarding previous rehab attempts
The above information will help us direct you into the most suitable rehab programme we offer. The majority of people will benefit from a medically assisted detox programme. Most will also benefit from an extended aftercare programme. This helps people to ease into their recovery following the completion of residential care. To achieve this, Ocean Recovery Centre offers an unbelievable 12-month aftercare programme for each client leaving our care. This is offered at absolutely no additional cost.
