Is Professional Rehabilitation Right for Me?

There isn’t one simple answer to whether alcohol or drug rehab is right for you. The type of substance involved, the severity of the addiction and your personal circumstances all play a part. But by learning more about addiction and the treatment options available, you’ll be better positioned to make the right decision.

Observable Signs of Addiction

People struggling with addiction can learn to hide their problems from others. However, there are a number of signs you should be aware of. These include:

  • Differences in mood from usual patterns
  • Changes in appearance or self-care routines
  • Reduced sensitivity to the effects of a substance
  • Changes in spending patterns
  • Changes in usual routines and interests

Your Addiction Treatment Options

After recognising that you may need professional help, many people are unsure what comes next. Understanding the difference between inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation can help you choose the treatment option that best fits your circumstances.

Inpatient rehabilitation at Ocean Recovery provides a structured environment, continuous support and experienced clinicians to give you the best chance of long-term sobriety. By stepping away from daily triggers and negative influences, you can focus entirely on healing in a structured environment.

Outpatient treatment provides ongoing addiction support through scheduled appointments and therapy sessions without requiring you to stay at a residential centre. This allows you to continue with work, family life and other daily commitments. For some people, however, taking time away from these responsibilities can make it easier to concentrate fully on treatment and establish healthier routines before returning to everyday life.

Dual Diagnosis and the Bigger Picture

If you’re experiencing both addiction and mental health difficulties, you don’t have to seek help for each separately. Our dual diagnosis treatment combines evidence-based addiction therapies with appropriate mental health support, giving you a more connected approach to recovery.

Understanding the Rehab Process at Ocean Recovery

Finding the right private drug and alcohol rehab centre is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. At Ocean Recovery, we want you to feel confident in your choice, so we’ve outlined our full treatment process from admission through aftercare.

How to Begin Treatment at Ocean Recovery

To access our residential rehab, contact us to discuss your specific needs and organise an admission date.

When you contact our admissions team, we will arrange a pre-screening assessment to help us get to know you better. After that, we’ll create a treatment programme that’s tailored to your needs and arrange a date for you to join us.

Starting Recovery with Medical Detox

When you join us, the first step in your recovery is to undertake a medically supervised detox to remove any drugs or alcohol from your system.

Whilst we recognise that a drug and alcohol detox can be a very uncomfortable process, we wouldn’t recommend it unless we thought it was integral to your recovery. We’ll help you manage any withdrawal symptoms which may arise during your drug and alcohol detox so that you’re ready for a full recovery.

Addiction Treatment in Ocean Recovery

After completing your detox, you can move on to the remainder of your treatment plan, which will include a mixture of psychological and well-being therapies to ensure you receive a holistic approach to your rehab treatment.

After your initial assessment, our addiction healthcare specialists will have drawn up a recovery program based on your specific circumstances. Treatments may include:

Free Aftercare and Lasting Recovery

Although rehab equips you with the skills and knowledge to manage your recovery, ongoing support can make all the difference. That’s why we offer a structured aftercare programme featuring continued therapeutic support, practical resources, and relapse prevention tools to help you stay on the path to lasting recovery after you successfully complete treatment with us.

Typical Length of Stay at Ocean Recovery

Because recovery is different for everyone, we offer flexible treatment durations to suit your needs. Whether you need a shorter stay of 7 to 28 days or a more intensive 90-day programme, we’ll recommend the option that best supports lasting recovery.
