Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centres In Farnworth
All of our clients benefit from a completely tailored treatment programme which has been designed around their condition to meet specific requirements.
This high level of quality personalisation isn’t available as an outpatient or if you’re receiving free local health treatment with the NHS for example.
A bespoke treatment plan is a great benefit of joining a private residential rehab like ours in Farnworth. Sadly, the NHS are too overstretched and underfunded to provide each person with anything but a generic treatment programme, which is unlikely to be effective.
Don’t feel too disheartened if you’ve made previous attempts to recovery from substance abuse and ultimately failed.
Unless you’ve dedicated yourself to a comprehensive addiction treatment plan at a recognised residential rehab, you haven’t given yourself the best opportunity to succeed.
You must make the time and effort to address your physical and psychological connections to drugs or alcohol in order to truly overcome this disease.
It’s time to invest in yourself and join our rehab centre in Farnworth.
What we can offer you
At Ocean Recovery Centre, we offer a range of therapies specifically tailored to your wants and needs.
These therapies include cognitive behavioural therapy, relapse prevention, stress management, group therapy, 1-1 counselling and a range of well-being therapies which include acupuncture, reflexology, art therapy, massage, mindfulness, yoga, relaxation and sleep management, low lever laser therapy, and fitness therapy.
We also recommend that most people undergo a drug or alcohol detox. This is the most effective way to cleanse your body and mind in preparation for your psychological therapies.
Our rehab centre is situated in Lancashire, Blackpool specifically. It is less than 50 miles away from your Farnworth home, and we are able to arrange transport for you and get driven to our centre in Blackpool.
We’re very proud of our luxurious residential rehab which boasts world-class facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. All of our clients can enjoy the privacy of their own room, all of their laundry and housekeeping needs taken care of, and delicious meals provided each day.
We also arrange social activities for everyone to take part in during their down time if they wish to. These may include quiz nights, film nights, group runs, group walks, and we can also arrange family visits.
All of this creates a balanced experience with a holistic treatment plan to follow during your time with us at our drug and alcohol rehab in Farnworth.

Detox from Alcohol or Drugs
Before you start your therapy sessions, there is a step to complete first at our drug and alcohol rehab centre. Our rehab programme lasts for 28 days, typically, the first step is a detox.
We offer a range of ‘rapid’ detoxes you may complete in as little as five days.
When you are admitted into our rehab centre you must initially complete a detox. This ensures toxic levels of drugs and alcohol are removed from your system before your rehabilitation programme begins.
Detox can be quite difficult, as your body can struggle with the lack of drugs or alcohol that it’s become used to. You might feel ill or physically drained due to withdrawal symptoms.
These withdrawal symptoms vary in severity depending on the severity of your drug or alcohol addiction.
For severe alcoholics or drug addicts, withdrawal symptoms can lead to delirium tremens, anxiety and other lasting mental health issues. In some cases, this could even lead to death.
That is why we employ medical professionals at our drug and alcohol rehab Farnworth to supervise your treatment programme around the clock to ensure we’re there to medicate you in case you require urgent medical assistance.
We strongly advise against attempting a detox at home. You’d be putting yourself at extreme risk of causing irreversible damage, in addition, a home detox is very unlikely to be successful so the whole process would be a waste of time.
What happens after Drug and Alcohol Rehab?
Following the completion of your rehabilitation programme, we offer a generous 12-month long aftercare programme free of charge. We hold weekly aftercare sessions at our rehabilitation centre in Lancashire, we also ensure you attend local meetings near Farnworth.
Many of our past clients are located in the Greater Manchester area including Farnworth and when you sign up to Ocean Recovery Centre, you gain access to this community of recovering addicts who will be happy to help you through the critical initial 12 months of your sobriety.
The first 12 months are the most difficult as you transition back into homelife after spending almost a month at our secure residential rehab.
For recovering addicts, this transition can be very challenging as you must adapt your new behaviours to your familiar way of life. When you’re back at home, distractions are likely, as are negative influences which may have been a factor prior to joining our rehab clinic.
It’s essential that you surround yourself with a good support network and distance yourself from those who could influence you into a drug or alcohol relapse.
Our aftercare team provide dedicated helplines 24/7 in addition to ongoing cognitive behavioural therapy, group therapy, individual therapy, or relapse prevention sessions, as necessary.
We also believe it to be useful to include your loved ones in your recovery process, however, this is completely up to you.
Having others around you who are aware of your triggers can help significantly in reducing your risk of suffering a relapse; it’s a great advantage to have when working towards your long-term recovery from drugs or alcohol.
