Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centres in Carnforth
Here at Ocean Recovery, we specialise in the treatment of drug and alcohol addictions, along with any present mental health conditions that may contribute towards your addiction.
We have an experienced addiction team, and in our CQC-registered facility, you will be in a safe place to recover. We have great experience treating a wide range of addictions, including:
- Alcohol Addiction
- Cocaine Addiction
- Heroin Addiction
- Prescription Drug Addiction
- Cannabis Addiction
By visiting our addiction treatment centre, you will undertake a full medically assisted detoxification under the guidance of a trained and qualified healthcare team. Alongside your detox, you will begin a tailored rehabilitation programme that will help you overcome your addiction and help you lead a healthy life, moving forward away from substance abuse and all the problems this can cause in your day-to-day life.
Detox Safely From Drugs and Alcohol
The 1st step in our rehabilitation programme is going through detox. You or a family member will be in a safe environment and have all the support you would expect from a professional rehabilitation centre.
Each addiction can bring different withdrawal symptoms. If you are suffering from cocaine addiction, your symptoms may be more mental as opposed to sickness, which some people with alcohol dependency suffer from.
We are at hand to provide medication if needed to help you through the worst stages of detox, and you will have regular one-on-one sessions with our counsellors
Addiction Treatments Available
Our residential rehabilitation programs provide intensive, structured care in a live-in setting. You will receive round-the-clock support, counselling, and medical supervision to address addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues. Our programs offer a safe and supportive environment for detoxification, therapy, skill-building, and relapse prevention.
As you will be staying with us for anything from 7 to 28 days, we will cater to your every need, from healthy meals cooked onsite to an appropriate private room with all the privacy you need.
Our treatments for drug addiction such as cocaine work, and it is important that you complete your rehabilitation. People who leave rehab early or before they have completed their programme will have an increased chance of relapse once back in the community and have access to all the temptations such as drink and drugs.
Our Holistic Approach
At Ocean, we facilitate a Holistic approach to recovery. This means we will not just look to heal your addiction, but also treat any physical or mental issues that are contributing towards your addiction.
If, for example, you have a prescription drug addiction caused by taking too many painkillers for an injury. We must look to help you get the treatment for the injury and tackle the root cause. If you do not identify the root causes and get treatment for them the chances of you relapsing in the future will increase.
So, we will help you out with everything and cover all physical and mental aspects of your well-being alongside treatment for your current addiction.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
All our clients undertake CBT; this will help identify and change any unhealthy thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours related to your addiction. It focuses on developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills to prevent relapse. Our therapists work with you to challenge negative thinking patterns and replace them with healthier alternatives.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT):
We combine medications with counselling and behavioural therapies to treat substance use disorders. Medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone may be prescribed to reduce cravings, alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and block the effects of drugs. This approach can help individuals manage their addiction while undergoing therapy.
12-Step Programs:
We introduce our clients to 12-step programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA), which offer a supportive environment for individuals recovering from addiction post-rehab. These programs follow a structured set of principles, encourage communication, and help recovering addicts. These meetings provide opportunities for sharing experiences, receiving support, and also helping others on the road to a long-lasting recovery.
Motivational Interviewing (MI):
MI is a counselling approach that will help you change your addictive behaviours and habits. Our therapists use empathetic listening, reflective questioning, and goal-setting techniques to evoke motivation for change from within. MI aims to enhance your motivation and increase your readiness to engage in treatment.
Family Therapy:
Occasionally, we may recommend that some of our clients undertake family therapy. This involves the participation of family members in the treatment process to address the impact of addiction on interpersonal relationships within your family group. Our therapists will also help family members improve communication, set boundaries, and develop strategies to support you in recovery. Family therapy can strengthen relationships, enhance coping skills, and help to develop a supportive environment for recovery after you leave our rehab centre.
Group Therapy:
Group therapy involves sessions led by a therapist where individuals with similar addiction issues come together to share experiences, provide mutual support, and learn from one another. Group members offer encouragement, feedback, and understanding, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie. Group therapy fosters empathy, reduces isolation, and provides opportunities for improving your communication skills and developing relapse prevention strategies.
These methods can be used individually or in combination, depending on the needs and preferences of the individual seeking treatment. Each approach aims to address addiction from multiple angles, promoting lasting recovery and improved quality of life.
