Our Addiction Treatment Options
At Ocean Recovery, we provide evidence-based treatment options to individuals in need of addiction treatment. Administered by a team of consultants, doctors, nurse practitioners and recovery workers, our treatments enable our clients to secure a long-term recovery.
Should you decide to attend our drug and alcohol rehab instead of a drug and alcohol rehab in Bethnal Green, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of treatments including the following:
- A medically induced detoxification programme
- Rehabilitation
- Psychological therapy
- Well-being therapy
- Holistic therapy
- One-to-one therapy
- Group therapy
- Relapse prevention
- Aftercare
It should be noted that you may not require all of the treatments outlined above. To determine which treatments will help you defeat your addiction, you will be required to complete a clinical assessment upon entering our rehab.
Conducted by our specialist doctor, this assessment will evaluate your current and historical health conditions. You will also be encouraged to discuss your addiction to ensure that an appropriate treatment programme can be set out.
Personalised Treatment Programmes
At Ocean Recovery, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer personalised treatment programmes to our clients. Combining a number of the treatment options noted above, our programmes have proven to be highly successful.
Completed in two phases, our treatment programmes help our clients withdraw from substances before commencing intensive therapy and counselling sessions.
Phase One – Detoxification
The first phase of our treatment programme is a medically induced detoxification. Overseen by our clinical team, detoxification eliminates harmful substances and toxins from the body. Detoxification additionally enables the body to begin to heal from the physical effects of addiction.
Usually, run over a 7-10-day period, detoxification is entirely safe when administered in our centre. Although detoxification is manageable, withdrawal symptoms can be expected. However, medications such as Librium, disulfiram, and naltrexone are available to minimise withdrawal symptoms and control cravings.
Phase Two – Rehabilitation
Although extremely beneficial, detoxification alone does not guarantee that long-term recovery can be achieved. As a result, phase two of our treatment programme must be completed.
Otherwise known as the rehabilitation phase, phase two of our treatment programmes equip our clients with the tools and resources they need to maintain their recovery in the weeks, months and years that follow treatment.
Unlike the rehabilitation treatment provided by a drug and alcohol rehab in Bethnal Green, our rehabilitation treatment includes psychological, well-being and holistic therapies. When combined, these therapies enable our clients to understand their addiction, ascertain the cause of their addiction and achieve their recovery goals.
Whilst treatment can be expected on a one-to-one basis, we encourage our clients to participate in group therapy. We can also provide family therapy and mediation at this stage of treatment.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Drug and alcohol addictions often coexist with mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Although drug and alcohol rehabs in Bethnal Green are often unable to provide treatment for coexisting disorders, here at Ocean Recovery, we offer dual diagnosis rehab programmes for those who find their lives affected by both an addiction and mental health disorder.
These treatment programmes combine addiction treatments, such as detoxification and addiction rehabilitation, with mental health treatments, including stress management and trauma counselling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right rehab treatment provider can be a life-changing decision; here are some of the most common questions we are asked pre-admission.
How do I access a Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Bethnal Green?
To access a drug and alcohol rehab in Bethnal Green, you can either contact your GP, who will be able to refer you to an NHS rehab, or you can refer yourself to a private rehab.
If you choose to access a drug and alcohol rehab via your doctor, you will be required to wait for a referral to be made. Due to demand for NHS services, you could be waiting some time.
However, if you decide to access a private rehab, you will simply need to phone the chosen rehab and make a self-referral. In doing so, you will be able to access treatment within several days.
What are my Aftercare options?
At Ocean Recovery, our aftercare plans are tailored to the needs of each of our clients to help them avoid relapse in the 12-months following their time in our rehab.
Although many factors must be considered before appropriate aftercare can be advised, our aftercare consists of ongoing group therapy sessions, counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and holistic therapies.
Should you attend our rehab, we will additionally equip you with a relapse prevention programme. This programme will encourage you to take advantage of coping strategies developed during your time in our residential rehab.
How long does Treatment take?
At Ocean Recovery, our drug and alcohol treatment programmes typically span 28-days. However, we recommend our clients to expect to remain within our residential rehab for as long as six weeks. Although this may seem like a long time to stay in rehab, doing so ensures that an addiction can be successfully defeated.
