Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment
At Ocean Recovery, we provide drug and alcohol addiction treatment on a residential basis. Typically spanning 28-days, our treatment is overseen by a team of medical professionals, therapists and recovery support workers.
To ensure that our clients have the best possible chance of overcoming their addiction, structured treatment programmes are created. Bespoke to the needs of each of our clients, our treatment programmes consist of medically induced detoxification and rehabilitation.
Encountered as treatment commences, detoxification encourages the body and brain to withdraw from substances. Here, clients begin to physically recover from the side effects that are associated with addictions.
Following a 7-day detoxification treatment programme, rehabilitation begins. Unlike detoxification, rehabilitation focuses on the psychological effects of addiction.
To ensure that those in recovery can understand the cause of their addiction and learn how to maintain their sobriety, a range of therapies are introduced at this stage.
Our Therapy Options
At Ocean Recovery, we incorporate a range of traditional and holistic therapies into our treatment programmes. To offer greater insight into our therapy options, we have listed the psychological, well-being and holistic therapies available at our rehab below.

It should be noted that holistic therapies are available upon request. However, they are not incorporated into our treatment programmes. As a result, they come at an additional cost.
Whilst our therapy options contribute to long-term recovery, if you attend our residential rehab instead of a drug and alcohol rehab in Brixton, it is unlikely that you will encounter them all. Instead, you will experience a select number of therapies that we believe will support you best.
Mental Health Treatment
Unlike drug and alcohol rehabs in Brixton, in addition to providing residential treatment for drug and alcohol addictions, at Ocean Recovery, our team of medical professionals are qualified to treat a range of mental health disorders.
When mental health disorders and addictions coexist, dual diagnosis treatment must be completed. Combining several addiction treatments with mental health treatments, dual diagnosis treatment simultaneously alleviates the severity of addictions and mental health disorders.
If you have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, such as depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder, you must let us know when you contact us to discuss addiction treatment. This will ensure that we provide appropriate support and treatment during your time with us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right rehab treatment provider can be a life-changing decision; here are some of the most common questions we are asked pre-admission.
Is long term sobriety achievable?
Yes, long term sobriety is achievable. However, for long term sobriety to be achieved, you must be fully committed to taking the path towards recovery. You must also be open to encountering a range of treatments that will help you understand your addiction in greater detail.
Unfortunately, individuals who are not willing or able to commit to their recovery journey find it increasingly difficult to achieve long term sobriety.
How do I prepare myself for Rehab?
There are many things that you can do to prepare yourself for rehab. To ensure that you are ready to commence treatment, we recommend doing the following:
- Ask us any questions you have about your time in our rehab, the treatment you will undergo and what you can expect from your time in rehab
- Inform your loved ones, friends and employer that you need to attend rehab
- Make sure you have packed everything you may need during your time in our rehab
What items can I bring to Rehab?
When the time comes for you to enter our rehab, you will be able to bring a range of personal items from home with you. To ensure that you have everything you need during your stay in our rehab, we would encourage you to bring comfortable clothing, activewear, nightwear, footwear, reading materials, electronic devices and any photographs of your loved ones.
Although we provide toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioner and towels, if you would prefer to bring your own toiletries with you, you will be permitted to do so. However, on your arrival, we will need to check that all of your products are alcohol-free.
If you require prescription medication, you will, of course, also be able to bring this with you to our rehab. However, for the safety of our clients, you will need to hand any medication over to your dedicated recovery support worker. During your stay in our rehab, they will ensure that you have your medication as and when it is needed.
