If you call us on 01253 847553 or text HELP to 83222, we can help you take back control of your life without delay. Unlike with the NHS or charities, there’s no waiting list for our services and we can begin to help you immediately.
We appreciate that looking for rehab places for drug and alcohol addiction can be an overwhelming and intimidating experience, but a call to our friendly staff will get you the answers to any questions you may have.
We also offer a referral service if you are worried about the welfare of a friend or loved one who is in the grips of an addiction.
Private drug and alcohol rehab isn’t the cheapest solution, but we will work with you to find a treatment programme that is suitable for your budget.
Every day is important when you’re suffering from addiction, so please call us today to see how Ocean Recovery can help you.
The benefits of residential rehab
During your initial conversation, which will take place over the telephone, we will discuss your relationship with drugs and alcohol and establish your levels of consumption.
We will then invite you into our relaxing and modern rehab clinic for a full physical and psychological assessment. We will almost always recommend that you commit yourself to a 28-day course of residential addiction treatment.
This is no small time investment, but there are a number of benefits to taking 28 days out of your life. Many of our clients experience difficult home lives and being away for this length of time allows you to stay free of bad influences.
The same can be said for places and people. If you are away from bad influences and in the safety of Ocean Recovery’s top class rehab facility, you will not be able to access drugs or alcohol.
For similar reasons, residential rehab is better than the outpatient facilities offered by the NHS and charities. Firstly, the waiting lists for these treatments are long due to significant government cuts over the last decade.
In the time you are waiting to be seen, your addiction may worsen. Secondly, when you’re finally seen, you are treated on an outpatient basis. This means you are treated in the clinic during the day but are discharged on an evening and at weekends.
This is an extended period of time when you could potentially fall victim to temptation.
But with residential rehab, you have constant support and any underlying mental health conditions that we diagnose will also be treated – this doesn’t happen during the course of outpatient treatment. Alongside addiction treatment, we offer full mental health treatments and support.
Drug and alcohol detoxification
One of the early parts of your drug and alcohol rehabilitation will be a spell in our detox clinic. Most of our clients need to undergo this part of the treatment. It isn’t easy and is the most demanding part of your recovery journey. It is however essential for your long-term recovery.
It is possible to try and undergo a detox of your own accord at home, but we would not recommend this for a number of reasons. Firstly, when you are denied access to substances, your body will react via a series of withdrawal symptoms.
Some of these, such as sweating and trembling, are relatively minor. But some, such as insomnia and vivid nightmares and hallucinations, can potentially be very serious.
As well as this, at home you may be surrounded by bad influences. You may last a few days without drugs or alcohol, but a point will come where your will breaks, and you will reach for the bottle due to the difficulties of withdrawal symptoms.
This subsequently causes constant failure of attempts at a detox and can lead to you feeling like a failure for not being able to see it through.
But with Ocean Recovery by your side, a detox is a much more bearable experience. It will be difficult as that is the nature of the process, but our expert staff will be by your side 24 hours a day.
This ensures your safety and if your withdrawal symptoms are causing you severe discomfort, we will be able to issue you with prescription medication. This acts as a sedative and makes your experience easier. A detox can last for anything between 2 days to 2 weeks depending on the severity of your addiction.
Therapies in Havering
Once your detox has been completed, you can move on to the next phase of your treatment, which is therapy. This will take place on an individual and group basis. Individual therapy allows you to get to the heart of your addiction and explore the reasons that you have developed a drug addiction or an alcohol addiction.
Group therapy allows you to discuss your experience with your fellow recovering addicts. These are people you are sharing your recovery journey with and over your 28 days in rehab, you will become friendly with them and build up a support mechanism when you return to your everyday life in Havering.
We also provide a drug and alcohol aftercare programme. This is to ensure you feel supported when you leave Ocean Recovery’s care.
We’ll provide you with all the skills you need to have a long-term recovery, you just need to show the same levels of commitment to abstaining from alcohol and drugs.
We will not just send you back to Havering, you will receive full drug and alcohol relapse prevention support.
If you have been searching for drug and alcohol rehab near you, why not call Ocean Recovery today for a discussion about your drug addiction or alcohol addiction?
