What Medicines Are Available During Detox?

When reference was earlier made to medically-assisted detox, it should be made clear that the medication prescribed will be done so with your addiction in mind. We will only prescribe medications that do not prove any risk to your recovery or health. Mostly, we will prescribe certain types of painkillers, tranquillisers, or anti-depressants which will see you through the withdrawal period safely and effectively. Getting your body adjusted to a lack of drugs and/or alcohol is a massive shift for your body, and so making sure you are as safely monitored during this period is of paramount importance.
